If both numbers are 19, then their LCM is 19. But question says LCM is 209, which is possible only when second numbers is 209. Thus option (b) is correct.

LCM of two numbers is 209 and HCF is 19. If first number is 209, then what is the second number?

Ans: (a) First number × Second number = HCF × LCM 

209 × SN = 19 × 209

Second number = 19
