given answer is incorrect

Question:

A square wave is fed to an RC circuit. Then ______.

Options:
A)

voltage across R is square and across C is not square

B)

voltage across C is square and across R is not square

C)

voltage across both R and C are square

D)

voltage across both R and C is not square

Solution:

Ans: (d)

If input square wave is a current signal, then voltage across resistor will be square and across capacitor will not be a square.

If input square wave is a voltage signal, then current drawn by RC circuit have cumulative effect of both R and C. Hence, voltage across R and C will not be a square.
