since 2 is common in both sets wont the no. of relations be option d?

Question:
If A is the set of even natural less than 8 and B is the set of prime number less than 7, then the number of relation become A to B is:
Options:
A) 29
B) 92
C) 32
D) 29 - 1
Solution:
Ans: (a)

Number of possible relations from A to B is given by 2mxn

Where, m = number of elements of A,

n = number of elements of B,

So, here A = {2, 4, 6}, B = {2, 3, 5}

\(\therefore\) Number of possible relations = 23x3 = 29
