how can op make a angle 90 which is not given, it may be 90 or not
please explain

Question:

ABCD is a horizontal square. The diagonals of the square intersect at O. A vertical rod OP of length 40 cm is fixed perpendicularly at O. If each side of the square is 20 cm, then the length of the side PA approximately will be:

Options:
A) 28.3 cm
B) 35.6 cm
C) 42.4 cm
D) 44.4 cm
Solution:
Ans: (c)

AB = 20 cm, AC = \(20\sqrt{2}\) cm,  AO = \(10\sqrt{2}\) cm

\(\therefore\) AP2 = AO2 + OP2  = \((10\sqrt{2})^2\) + (40)2 = 200 + 1600 = 1800

\(\Rightarrow\)AP = \(\sqrt{1800}\) = 42.4 cm (approx.)
