Originally the ratio was 2:3 therefore acid and water were 6 lit and 9 litres respectively . After replacing 1.5 lit acid
With water we come to 7.5 and 7.5 litres respectively.

Question:

How many litres of a 15 litre mixture containing acid and water in the ratio 2 : 3 be replaced with pure acid so that the resultant mixture contains acid and water are in equal proportion?

A)

2 litre

B)

3 litre

C)

4 litre

D)

2.5 litre
