I think 7 days (Question: 240980.0 )

Ques asks for remaining work done by A it comes out to b 7
10 days are ovreall days 7+3 .

Question:
A can finish a work in 24 days, B in 9 days and C in 12 days, B and C start the work but are forced to leave after 3 days. The remaining work is done by A in ______.
Options:
A) 6 days
B) 10 days
C) 5 days
D) 13 days
Solution:
A's one day work = 1/24

B's one day work = 1/9

C's one day work = 1/12

3 days together work of (B+C) = \(3({1 \over 9}+{1 \over 12})\)

= \({7 \over 12}\)

Remaining work = \(1- {7\over 12}={5 \over 12}\)

therefore,  Remaining work is done by A in \({5\over 12}\times24=10\ days\)
