A fluorecent lamp is filled with phosphor material ( namely, zn-silicate) which converts ultra violet radiation caused by samll amount of mercury vapuor into visible radiation, so how the effect could be magnetic.? As the mercury is hetad up due to electric current, and then all these engery spectrum conversions take place, so, heating effect could be more convencing answer. Please clarify ...............
