Please explain how y=1/x ?

Question:
If , \(x=2+\sqrt[]{3},y=2-\sqrt[]{3}\), then what will be the value of \(\cfrac{x^2+y^2}{x^3+y^3}=?\)
Options:
A) \(\cfrac{7}{38}\)
B) \(\cfrac{7}{40}\)
C) \(\cfrac{7}{19}\)
D) \(\cfrac{7}{26}\)
Solution:
Ans: (d)  \(x=2+\sqrt[]{3}\)

\(y=2-\sqrt[]{3}\)

We can see that \(y=\cfrac{1}{x}\)

if we reverse the numerator the sign changes so x=1/y ; y has negative sign so y is reverse of x ;y=1/x
