How can you say Radha is a girl. It may be boy too.

Question:
In a class of 36 students, boys are twice the number of girls. In this class, there are 13 boys before Radha whose position is 19th in class. How many girls are there in the class after Radha ?
Options:
A) 5
B) 6
C) 12
D) Data insufficient
Solution:
Ans: (b) Total students = 36

Let the number of girls = x

According to question.

Let the numbers of boys = 2x

Then, x + 2x = 3x = 36

x = 12

Here, x = 12 (girls)

2x = 24 (Boys)


Number of girls before Radha is 6. According to question number of girls is 12. Hence, number of girls after Radha will be 12 – 6 = 6.
