Solution:

Ans: (d)

A : B     =   1 : 2

B : C    =   3 : 4

C : D    =   6 : 9

D : E    = 12 : 16

= 216 : 432 : 576 : 864 : 1152 ⇒ 3 : 6 : 8 : 12 : 16

A:B B:C= 1:2 3:4 = (1x3) : (2x3) : (4x2)= 3:6:8..
A:B:C C:D= 3:6:8 6:9 = (3x6) : (6x6) : (8x6) : (8x9)...
Repeat above process for 'E' as well, you'll get the ratios
