Here the Funda itself is wrong (Question: 232750.0 )

Total No of Cube=5x5x5=125 (small)
now with side 1cm TSA of all small cubes=125x6x1

and big cube=6x5x5

Hence if we divide one by the other it will be 5:1.......OK

Question:
A cube of edge 5 cm is cut into cubes each of edge 1 cm. The ratio of the total surface area of one of the small cubes to that of the large cube is equal to:
Options:
A) 1 : 125
B) 1 : 5
C) 1 : 625
D) 1 : 25
Solution:

Ans: (d)

Now,

Required ratio 

= T.S.A. of one small cubes : T.S.A. of the big cube

=  6 × (1)2 : 6 × (5)2

=   1   : 25
