He paid 8960 rs with interest does not signify that it was paid after 2 years. (Question: 277520.0 )

8960 can be taken as total amount too.

Question:

13   rd of the price of the article is paid immediately and rest is paid at the rate of 8% per annum simple interest for  112      years. He paid Rs.8960 with interest. What is the price of article.
