GUYS ANY OTHER METHOD FOR THIS?? (Question: 277521.0 )

PLEASE SUGGEST A BETTER METHOD IF U HAVE

Question:

Divide Rs.52250 into two parts in such a way that the amount at the rate of 10% per annum compounded annually for 1 years 73 days and 3 years 73 days remains same. What is the larger part of the sum?

t1=1+73/365=1+1/5=6/5,,,,
t2=3+1/5=16/5

now let p1=x nd p2 =y...so ,,,x.(11/10)ki power 6/5=y(11/10)ki power16/5,,,now x/y=11/10 ki power 2,,,thereafter we get x/y=121/100.....now x+y=221...it becomes total unit,,,,,55250/221=250...so 1 unit equal to 250 no get x nd y value ....mazor part is 121....121.250=30250,,,thanks...
