the question is saying that some water is lost, and the pulp remains the same and now the amount of water lost is 125 grams and the amount of crushed grapes is 75 grams. this means whole the amount of 2 kg of grapes is lost.
it seems to be some mistake somewhere or something else.

Question:

A man bought 2 kg fresh grapes. The ratio of water to pulp is 3 : 1. His child crushed some grapes, then some water get wasted. Now the ratio of water is to pulp is 1 : 2. What is the total weight of crushed grapes?

Options:
A)

0.5 kg

B)

1 kg

C)

0.75 kg

D)

1.25 kg

Solution:

Ans: (c)

water         pulp

3x       :        x

y                 2y

but x = 2y since pulp remain same.

water         pulp

6y        :      2y

y          :     2y

Loss in water = 6y – y = 5y

but 8y (= 6y + 2y) = 2 kg

Loss = 5y = 5/4 = 1.25 kg

crushed grapes =2 kg -1.25 kg =0.75 kg
