Grammar rule (Question:156337.0)

i have read multiple sources according to which, "five paisa a rupee" can also be right. Please clarify

Question:
DIRECTIONS: A sentence/a part of the sentence is underlined. Four alternatives are given to the underlined part which will improve the sentence. At best we shall get no more dividend than five paisa in rupee.

A) than five paisa in a rupee
B) then five paisa in a rupee

Solution:
Ex: It should be THAN as MORE is used and there should be an article before rupee.
