give solution

Question:
The LCM of two given numbers is 6 times the HCF of the numbers. If the smaller of the two numbers is 6, then the other number is –
Options:
A) 9
B) 12
C) 15
D) 18
Solution:
Ans: (a)

Smallest number x Largest number = HCF  * LCM

6xlargest number= HCF  * LCM

Largest number= (HCF  * 6*HCF)/6 = HCF*HCF

Let HCF =x

so, largest number = x^2

so, largest number will be a perfect square i.e. 9 given in the option.
