length of chord = L =(2r) sin(@/2)
where r is radius of circle
@ is angle made by chord at center of circle.
Ex : (root(3)*r) =2r sin(@/2) ==> sin(@/2) = (root(3))/2
==> @/2 = 60 ==> @ =120

Question:

Find the value of the angle subtended by the chord at the centre of the circle, if the length of chord is  3   x and radius is x.

Options:
A)

60º

B)

30º

C)

120º

D)

90º

Solution:

Ans: (c)
