How to solve these type of questions??? It is clearly written that they are at variance from common knowledge..then how are you assuming something not given in statement???

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Some statements are given, followed by some conclusions/ assumptions. You have to consider the statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. You have to decide which of the given conclusions/assumptions, if any, follows from the given statements.

Statement :

Eight people who were in the waiting list, finally got their reservations in the Shatabdi Express.

Conclusion : 

I.Generally passengers in waiting list hardly get reservation in the Shatabdi Express.

II.The number of berths available in Shatabdi Express is comparatively low.

A) None follows.
B) Only I follows.
C) Only II follows.
D) Only I and II follow.
