Proper Explanation not given. Please elaborate.

Question:
A is 50% as efficient as B. C does half of the work done by A and B together. If C alone does the work in 20 days, then A, B and C together can do the work in –
Options:
A) 5 \(\cfrac{2}{3}\) days
B) 6 \(\cfrac{2}{3}\) days
C) 6 days
D) 7 days
Solution:
Ans: (b)

C takes 20 days

A & B will take 10 days ( Given)

A + B + C = 1/10 + 1/20 = 3/20 ( 1 day work)

total days=  20/3=6.66 days

Dear Student,

C does half work of A & B
Work done by C in a day is 1/20
C = 1/(A+B) 2
1/20 = 1/(A+B) 2
2/20 = 1/A+B
1/A+B = 1/10
So A & B together take 10 days to complete a work
Now A, B & C together take
1/A + 1/B +1/C
= 1/10 + 1/20
= 3/20
= 20/3 days
= 6 and 2/3 days
