Question:
Father is aged three times more than his son. After 8 years, he would be two and a half times of his son’s age. After further 8 years, how many times would he be of his son’s age?
Options:
A) 2 times.
B) \(2\cfrac{1}{2}\) times.
C) \(2\cfrac{3}{4}\) times.
D) 3 times.
Solution:

Let Son's present age be x years. Then father's present age= (x+3x) years = = 4x years.

Here first we will find the present age of father and son.
Let the age of son be x
Father is three times more than his son=(3x+x)= 4x
Now after 8+8=16 years= (4x+16)/x+16=2 YEARS
