Question:
The perimeter of the triangular base of a right prism is 15 cm and radius of the incircle of the triangular base is 3 cm. If the volume of the prism be 270 cm 3, then the height of the prism is :
Options:
A) 6 cm
B) 7.5 cm
C) 10 cm 
D) 12 cm

Dear student,

Please observe the figure, here with the help of radius of incircle we consider is as a height of triangle. Now area of rectangle base is calculated by area of three triangle ( 1/2 base*height) after calculation we get 45/2 cm^2. please see in solution
then
Volume of prism = area of base triangle * height
270=45/2*h
h=12 cm
