 What quarterly payment will discharge a debt of Rs. 2120 in one year at 16% p.a. simple

interest?


Options:
A)

 Rs. 400

B)

 Rs. 600

C)

 Rs. 450

D)

 Rs. 500

Solution:

∴    Payment is quarterly

Time = 1 × 4 = 4 years and Rate =  164=4%   

∴    {4 + (0 + 1 + 2 + 3) 4%} Instalment = 2120

⇒4+6×125installment=2120   

→ instalment = 2120×  25106=Rs.500
