The water contained by a hemispherical cup having a diameter 13.5 cm is poured into an empty right circular cylindrical glass of diameter 9 cm. Then the depth of the water in the glass is –

B) 7 \(\cfrac{3}{8}\) cm

Volume of Hemisphere = 2/3 pai r^3
= 2/3 pai (135/20)^3
= 2/3 pai 27/4*27/4*27/4

volume of cylinder is = pai (9/2)^2h

comparing both volumes
2/3 pai 27/4*27/4*27/4 = pai (9/2)^2h
after solving
h=81/8= 10 1/8 cm
