A cube is colored red on all faces. It is cut into 64 cubes of equal size. How many cubes are there which have only one face colored?

Solution:

Ans: (d)

Since, there are 64 cubes of equal size

∴ No. of cubes with one face painted 

= (n – 2)2 × 6

 = (4 – 2)2 × 6 = 24

[n = no. of division]
