The largest number of five digits which, when divided by 16, 24, 30 or 36 leaves the same remainder 10, in each case is –
Options:
A) 99279
B) 99370
C) 99269
D) 99350
Solution:
Ans: (b)

L.C.M of 16, 24, 30 & 36 = 720

So, largest 5 digit number is = 99360

ATQ,

Required number = 99360 + 10

= 99370

largest 5 digit no=99999.Divide 99999 by 720(lcm of given numbers) remainder is 639, So 99999-639=99360+ the remainder in question which is 10=99370.
