HOW ANGLE = 30

Question:
Three circles are touching each other externally. The radii of the circles are 2 meter each. What will be the perimeter of the triangle thus formed and shown in the figure?

Options:
A)

12(1 + \(\sqrt[]{3}\))

B)

10(1 + \(\sqrt[]{3}\))

C) 24
D) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (a)

Perimeter of \(\triangle\)ABC = 3 × (BC)

& BC = BP + PQ + QC

\(\therefore\) Perimeter = \(3\times 4(\sqrt[]{3+1})=12(\sqrt[]{3+1})\)

Dear Student,

Given triangle is equilateral triangle thus each angle have 60 degree. In the solution. Median (for equilateral triangle) at the point B bisect angle CBA thus we take 30 degree.
