Most of the solutions are wrong, correct it otherwise I will take another mock test

Question:

Numbers of students in three batches P, Q, R in a school were in ratio 3:5:4 in the last year. This year the numbers increased by certain percentage to change the ratio 18:35:25. If percentage increase in class C was 25%.

What is the percentage increase in class B and A

Options:
A)

 25%, 50%

B)

 10%, 20%

C)

 14%, 28%

D)

 20%, 40%

Solution:

Let the numbers of students in last year =  3x, 5x    and  4x

Now this year numbers of students =  18y, 35y    and  25y

ACQ  4x×54=25yx=5y

Class Batch A  (3x)P100=18y

3x(P)2100=18×x5P=120

So numbers of students in batch A will be increased by 20%

And now in batch B

(5x)P100=35y(5x)P100=7xP=140

So no. of students Batch B increased by = 40%
