Education is 30 degree in pie chart then why have you taken 60 degree kindly explain!!

Question:

DIRECTIONS: The pie  chart given here shows expenditures incurred by a family on various items and their savings, which amount to Rs. 8,000 in a month.

Study the chart and answer the questions based on the pie  chart.



How much expenditure is incurred on education?

Options:
A) Rs.3,000
B) Rs. 5,000
C) Rs. 4,000
D) Rs. 7,000

Dear Student,

As Income = expenditure+saving
i.e. (360°=300°+60°)
Here we are given the value of 60°=8000
it means the total expenditure=300°=8000/60°*300°=40000
Expenditure on education =40000*30°/300°
Ans. Rs.4000

explaination is correct as savings is 8000 with the help of this they find the overall income as savings is 60degree which corresponds to 8000 and than expenditure is calculated.
