i think 'in the' is superfluous

Question:

Direction: Some part of the sentences have errors and some are correct. Find out which part of a sentence has an error and select the appropriate option. If a sentence is free from error, select ‘No Error’.

If you are sure that you are in the right, you would not mind an independent examination of the case.

Options:
A)

If you are sure that you are

B)

in the right, you would not mind

C)

an independent examination of the case

D)

No error

Solution:

Ans: (b) Change ‘would’ into ‘will’. After a present tense in the ‘If’ clause, we need a future tense in the main clause. Hence ‘would’ should be changed to will.
