since "You have to consider the statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts" is mentioned in the question, why should I apply my sense to determine whether the cost is high or not?

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Some statements are given, followed by some conclusions. You have to consider the statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. You have to decide which of the given conclusions, if any, follows from the given statements.
Statement :

The oceans are a storehouse of practically every mineral including Uranium. But like most other minerals, it is found in extremely low concentration of about 3 grams per 1000 tonnes of water.

Conclusions:

I.The oceans are a cheap source of Uranium.

II.The oceans harbour radiation hazards.

Options:
A) Either conclusion I or II follows.
B) Neither conclusion I nor II follows.
C) Only conclusion I follows.
D) Only conclusion II follows.
Solution:
Ans: (b)

In the given statement already mentioned concentration of  Uranium in sea water is low. so statement (i) not follows because costing of extract uranium from sea water will be very high due to low concentration of Uranium.

In the given statement, not mentioned about any hazardness. so conclusion (ii) not follows.
