why the answer of this question not option C??? plzz explain sir...According to narration rule,,direct sense with simple past form changes into past perfect on indirect sense,,,why this rule not applicable here???

Question:

Select the one which best expresses the same sentence in Direct/Indirect Speech.

She said that she hadn’t done anything wrong that time.

Options:
A)

She said, “I haven’t done anything wrong this time.”

B)

She said, “I hadn’t done anything wrong this time.”

C)

She said, “I didn’t do anything wrong this time.”  

D)

She said, “I don’t do anything wrong this time.”

Solution:

Ans:(a) Present perfect tense in direct speech changes into past perfect tense in indirect speech. So option (A) is the correct indirect speech of the given sentence.

The answer is correct.
According to rule-
Indirect speech = direct speech
(past perfect) = (present perfect)
For ex.
Indirect speech - David said that he had not met her.
Direct speech - David said,"I have not met her."
