Solution:
Write ‘takes’ instead of ‘take’. The subject is ‘a basket of opportunities’, which is singular.

yes... according to the concept of relative pronoun--after the relative pronoun the verb should be goes according to the noun just before the relative pronoun...so there in no problem in using 'take'
