here Al is more than zinc in resulting mixture so % of copper should be more than 32.25% (where 32.25% is the % of cu when both aluminium and zinc are same). hence c should be the right option.plz clarify my doubt

Question:

An alloy of copper and aluminium has 40% copper. An alloy of copper and zinc has ratio of 2 : 7. These two alloys are mixed in such a way that in the overall alloy, there is more aluminium then zinc, and copper constitute X% of this alloy, what is the range of values X can take –

Options:
A)

20% ≤  X ≤ 40%

B)

30% ≤ X ≤ 40%

C)

32.5% < X ≤ 40%

D)

33.33% ≤  X ≤ 40%
