Question:

 Two guns are fired from the same place at an interval of 17 minutes. A person approaching the place observers that 16 minute 18 sec. have elapsed between the hearing of the sound of the two guns. If the velocity of the sound is 330 m/sec the man approaching that piece at what speed (in Km/hr)

Solution:

 Difference between the time = 42 second

So, Distance covered by sound in 42 second

= Distance covered by ma in 16 minutes and 8 sec.

⇒330×42=v×968

⇒v=(330×42)/968  m/sec.

= (330×42)968   × 185     km/h

=51 611
