how can we use "at"the company it must be "in" the company

Question:

We regret informing you that

No error. 

Solution:

Ans: (a) Use ‘to inform’ in place of ‘informing’.

Rule:- ‘Regret’ is normally used with a gerund. However, to communicate bad news (usually in writing) we use ‘regret + infinitive’.
