convection can takes place in solid.
example- when air is pass through the fin then heat can transfer through the convection.

Ans: (b) Convection occurs when heat is transferred through a gas or liquid by the hotter material moving into a cooler area.

Dear Student,

Convection is the process of heat transfer in fluids by the actual motion of matter. it is that mode of heat transfer in which particles actully move to transfer the heat. It occurs in liquid not in solid as in solid particles can only vibrate around mean position cannot move.
