why am i not getting ans through this method?

Question:
Pipe A alone can fill a tank in 8 hours. Pipe B alone can fill the same tank in 6 hours. If both the pipes are opened but after 2 hours pipe A is closed, then pipe B will fill the tank in how many hours ?
Options:
A) 6 hours
B) 3 \(\cfrac{1}{2}\) hours
C) 4 hours
D) 2\(\cfrac{1}{2}\) hours

Dear Student,

A and B both are working for first 2 days, so, they will complete 2*(4+3)=14 unit

Remaining work = 24-14 = 10
