Kindly explain the first step, i mean how to factorise this

Question:
The HCF of x3 - 6x2 + 11x - 6, x3 + x2 - 9x - 9 and x3 - 6x2 + 5x + 12 is:
Options:
A) x2 - x+ 1
B) x -2
C) x - 3
D) x2 - 2x + 3
Solution:
Ans: (c)

x3 - 6x2 + 11x - 6 = (x - 1) (x2 - 5x + 6)

= (x - 1) (x - 3) (x - 2)

x3 + x2 - 9x - 9 = (x + 1) (x2 - 9) = (x + 1) (x + 3) (x - 3)

and       x3 - 6x2 + 5x + 12 = (x + 1) (x2 - 7x + 12)

= (x + 1) (x - 4) (x - 3)
