Three taps can fill a cistern in 18 minutes. 15 minutes and 10 minutes respectively. The cistern being empty. all the three taps are kept open. After 3 minutes, the first tap is closed. Counting time from that moment, the cistern will be full in –

C) 3 minutes

Detailed Explanation-

Tap A can fill the tank in one min. = 1/18
Tap B can Fill the tank in one min. =1/15
Tap C can Fill the tank in one min.=1/10

All tap can Fill the tank in one min.= 1/18 +1/15+1/10 = 20/90=2/9
All tap can Fill the tank in three min.= 2/9 *3= 2/3 part filled
Remaining part = 1-2/3 = 1/3
if tap A close then
tap B and C and fill the tank in one min.= 1/15+1/10=1/6
one part can fill in= 6 min.
1/3 part can fill = 1/3*6 = 2 min.
