    Cost of production of wireless phone set in 1995 is 1200, divide between material, labour and overheads in the ratio 4:6:5. If the wireless phone set is marked at a price that gives a 40% profit on the component of price accounted for by labour. What is marked price of set is.

Solution:

    Cost of wireless phone = 1200

Cost of labour =  120015×6=480   

Profit =  480×40100=192   

M.P. =  1200+192=1392
