how is 2x+2y=180?

Question:
The tangents are drawn at the extremities  of a diameter AB of a circle with centre P. If a tangent to the circle at the point C intersects the other two tangets at points points Q and R, then the measure of the \(\angle \)QPR is –
Options:
A) 45º
B) 60º

For any convex quadrilateral sum of internal angles will always be 360; Now angle PAQ and PBR both are of 90 degrees, hence the remaining two angles which is 2xx and 2y must be equal to 360 - 180 = 180. Hope you got the point.

the two tangents are equal.... so the two are adjacent angles having sum 180
