Question:

DIRECTIONS: Read the pie-chart and gives the answer carefully:-

Percentage of literate and Illiterate males and females in a city

  

If total number is 250000 and total 20% is under 25 is literate and females who are under 25 is 28000 in number then find how many male percentage who are under 25% is literate.

Options:
A)

25.14%

B)

24.14%

C)

28.8%

D)

25%

Solution:

Ans: (a)

20% of 250000 = 50000

Females = 28000

And males = 50000 – 28000 = 22000

So, literate male = 250000 × 35/100 = 87500

Percentage of under 25 age males = 22000/87500 × 100 = 25.14%
