Please explain it

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In the question below, there are few statements followed by few conclusions. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusion logically follow(s) from the given statements. 

Statements:

All books are pins.
Some pins are desks.


Conclusions: 

I. Some desks are books.
II.  All desks are pins.
III. No desk is book.

Options:
A) Only either I or II follows.
B) Only either I or III follows.
C) Only either II or III follows.
D) Only I follows.
Solution:
Only either I or III follows.

Dear student,
Conditions of Either Or :
(1) Subject Predicate should be same in both statements
(2) Complimentary pairs i.e. one should be positive and one should be negative
(3) Maximum possibility i.e. maximum diagrams possibility should be covered
(4) Individually both false
(5) relation between subject and predicate should not be clear.
(6) Either or condition not applicable between All and no type sentences.
