For an equilateral Triangle,Area Formula is √3/4 * a^2.Here a=12.3m and Area=65.51.Closest option to this answer id D

Question:

If the perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 36.9 metre and length of an altitude is 8 metre, then area of the triangle is:

Options:
A) 29.2 m2
B) 39.2 m2
C) 49.2m2
D) 59.2m2
Solution:
Ans: (c) Perimeter of the equilateral triangle of side x = 36.9 m

\(\therefore\) side of equilateral triangle x = \(\cfrac{36.9}{3}=12.3\) m

height = 8

hence area = \(\cfrac{1}{2}\times12.3\times8=49.2\) m2

Length of side = 12.3 cm
A = (1/2) (12.3) (8) m²
A = 49.2 m²
