Question:

Consider the following features of an image being formed on a convex lens – 

1. Image is real and inverted

2. Image is enlarged

Where is the object placed? 

Options:
A)

Between Optical Centre and F

B)

At F

C)

Between F and 2F

D)

Beyond 2F

Solution:

For a convex lens the image is enlarged only when the object is placed either between Optical Centre and F or between F and 2F. However in the former case, the image formed is virtual and erect, hence the object is in between F and 2F
