confusing (Question: 269968.0 )

the depth of deepest point is not given.. we can also assume it as 30 which will make the slant lenth 30X2.6 =78 .. why did u take it as 20.. explain it f u can .. else stop making irrelevant questions

Question:

A rectangular pool is 48 m long and 20 m wide. The shallow edge of the pool is 1 m deep. For every 2.6 m that one walks up the inclined base of the swimming pool; one gains an elevation of 1 m. What is the volume of water (cube metres), in the swimming pool? Assume that the pool is filled upto the brim.

the explanation is also not proper ... u should point out the fact that if we assume a right angle traingle with h=2.6 p=1 then it will give b=2.4 ... now to cover 48 m along b we will find k=48/2.4 = 20 ..now this 20X2.6 will give us 52. :)
