then when we are saying the sentence
HEY IT'S ME !!!
is it wrong ????

Question:

DIRECTIONS: In the given questions a part of the sentence is in bold. Below are given alternatives to the bold part at (A), (B), (C) and (D) which may improve the sentence. Choose the correct alternative.

It was he, not me, who put forth the remarkable position.

Options:
A)

he, not I

B)

him, not me

C)

he, not mine

D)

No improvement

Solution:

Ans:(a) Replace 'he not me' with 'he not I'. Subject pronoun 'I' will be used to refer to the person performing the action of a verb.

'Me' is an object pronoun, which means that it refers to the person that the action of a verb is being done to, or to whom a prepositionn refers.

Your doubts are astonishingly fundamental... Actually, your sentence is correct. Here, "Me" is object, the receiver of the action. "I" is always used as an object, or doer of an action e.g. It is I who did this... IT is me who has been befooled...
