R is coded as hyphen in the question. Option 3 should have been

DIRECTIONS: To answer these questions, study the following symbol codes for the digits and letters. 

  

Conditions: 

(i) If the second element is a vowel and the fifth element is an odd digit then both the elements are coded '!'. 

(ii) If the first element is a digit and the fourth element is a consonant then the codes for both the elements are interchanged. 

(iii) If the third element and the last element are consonants then both the elements are codes with the first element code. 

(iv) If first element is an even digit and the fifth element is a consonant then both the elements are coded with the  fifth element code. 

(v) It the fourth element is an even digit and the sixth element is an odd digit then both the elements are coded as '↓'.
