Area of Δ ABC = AB.BC.CA/4R
How does it come?

Question:

      In the given figure, ABC is a triangle in which, AB =10 cm, AC =6 cm and altitude AE = 4cm. If AD is the diameter of the circum-circle, then what is the length (in cm) of circum-radius?

Options:
A)

     3

B)

     7.5

C)

     12

D)

     15

Solution:

AB = 10cm

AC = 6cm

AE = 4cm

We now that

Area of Δ   ABC =  AB.BC.CA4R

=>12×BC×AE=AB×BC×CA4R=>R=10×6×24×4=7.5cm
