Question:

A pot is filled with milk. 80% of milk is replaced by the same quantity of water. This process is done three times. Find the percentage of milk in this mixture of milk and water?

Options:
A)

0.8%

B)

58.6%

C)

53%

D)

45%

Solution:

Ans: (a)

Let quantity of milk = 1000 g

Quantity of milk after first process     = 1000 -80% of 1000 g = 200 g

Quantity of milk after second process    = 200 -160 = 40 g

Quantity of milk after third process    = 40 - 32 = 8g

Hence, required percentage = 0.8%
